General Information

Rome is the capital city and most populated comune (municipality) of Italy. It is also the administrative centre of the Lazio region and of the Metropolitan City of Rome. A special comune named Roma Capitale with a population of 2.7 million in an area of 1,287.36 km2 (497.1 mi2), Rome is the third most populous city in the European Union by population within city limits. The Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, with a population of 4.2 million, is the most populous metropolitan city in Italy. Its metropolitan area is the third-most populous within Italy. Rome is located in the central-western portion of the Italian Peninsula, within Lazio (Latium), along the shores of the Tiber Valley. Vatican City is an independent country inside the city boundaries of Rome, the only existing example of a country within a city. Rome is often referred to as the "City of Seven Hills" due to its geography, and also as the "Eternal City". Rome is generally considered to be one of the cradles of Western civilization and Western Christian culture, and the centre of the Catholic Church.

Il Comune di Milano detiene il 54,81% di Sea. Non si tratta del principale proprietario della società che gestisce gli aeroporti di Malpensa e Linate. Per questo Giuseppe Sala non può considerarsi estraneo alle vicende che interessano lo scalo milanese, compresa la discussa decisione di intitolarlo a Silvio Berlusconi. Per comodità, all’estero e in Italia verrà anche soprannominato “Bunga Bunga”. Il primo elemento da chiarire riguarda il ruolo di Sea. La società di gestione aeroportuale non è stata parte del procedimento che ha portato alla nuova denominazione di Malpensa. Lo ha evidenziato la sentenza del Tar Lombardia n. 1874/2026: il Comune di Milano aveva impugnato, insieme ad altri Comuni del Varesotto, la decisione di Enac di dedicare l’aeroporto a Berlusconi, ma il ricorso è stato dichiarato inammissibile perché Palazzo Marino non poteva esercitare in giudizio una posizione che spettava direttamente al gestore aeroportuale. È su questo punto che si pone la responsabilità politica di Sala. Se il sindaco era realmente contrario all’intitolazione a Berlusconi, come ha dichiarato più volte, avrebbe potuto utilizzare la posizione del Comune all’interno di Sea per sollecitare la società a intervenire nel procedimento e a far valere le proprie ragioni. La scelta del nome spettava alla Sea, non all’Enac. Si è modificata una prassi consolidata, secondo la quale è il gestore aeroportuale a proporre all’Enac l’intitolazione dello scalo. È successo, ad esempio, a Bergamo, dove fu Sacbo a proporre di dedicare l’aeroporto a Caravaggio. Nel caso di Malpensa, invece, l’intitolazione a Berlusconi è stata approvata dal Consiglio di amministrazione di Enac nel 2024, con il successivo via libera del Ministero dei Trasporti. Il Tar Lombardia ne ha in seguito riconosciuto la legittimità. La stessa sentenza, tuttavia, chiarisce che nel procedimento la posizione legittimata a intervenire era quella di Sea. Una volta chiarito chi disponesse formalmente del potere di decidere sulla denominazione dell’aeroporto, resta una domanda politica: perché il principale azionista pubblico di Sea non ha utilizzato il proprio peso per fare in modo che fosse la società di gestione a intervenire su una scelta tanto rilevante? La questione, però, non si esaurisce nel nome di Malpensa. Mentre il Comune mantiene la maggioranza di Sea, aumenta il peso di F2i nell’azionariato, oggi al 25,7%, il principale fondo infrastrutturali presente nel settore aeroportuale italiano. La fusione con Sagat, la società che gestisce l’aeroporto di Torino e che è controllata da F2i, accrescerebbe ulteriormente questa presenza, riducendo nel tempo la capacità del Comune di Milano di esercitare un effettivo indirizzo pubblico sulla propria società aeroportuale. Delle due l’una. O Sala non ha più il potere di indirizzare le scelte di Sea non chiedendogli di fare ricorso al Tar, o il Sindaco tacendo ha evitato un contrasto istituzionale con Enac e quindi con il Ministro Salvini. Il tema, dunque, condiziona anche il futuro dell’intero sistema aeroportuale: una crescente concentrazione finanziaria può accompagnarsi a un progressivo ridimensionamento del ruolo pubblico e delle dinamiche concorrenziali con una concentrazione di aeroporti con il pretesto della integrazione funzionale. F2i già controlla lo scalo di Napoli, quello di Trieste, Olbia e Alghero, oltre a quello di Torino. L’aggregazione sempre più spinta delle società aeroportuali rischia infatti di spostare il baricentro degli aeroporti: da infrastrutture strategiche legate ai territori a patrimoni da valorizzare secondo logiche prevalentemente finanziarie. Un processo che merita di essere valutato non solo sotto il profilo economico, ma anche per le sue conseguenze sulla concorrenza, sull’interesse pubblico, sull’ambiente e sul rapporto con le comunità locali. Il caso Malpensa porta quindi la discussione ben oltre la scelta di intitolarlo a Berlusconi e pone una questione di fondo: chi eserciterà in futuro il potere di indirizzo del sistema aeroportuale lombardo, il Comune o il Fondo F2i? Fedeli per Padre Pio in crisi, al santuario di San Giovanni Rotondo licenziamento per 38 sacristi
La Fondazione “San Pio da Pietrelcina“, che gestisce il santuario di Padre Pio a San Giovanni Rotondo (Foggia), ha avviato la procedura per il licenziamento collettivo di 38 degli 89 dipendenti impegnati nei servizi di sacrestia, accoglienza e ordine nei luoghi del Santo. Le motivazioni risiederebbero nel calo dei fedeli in pellegrinaggi al santuario (-14,82% nel primo semestre di quest’anno secondo i dati di Assoturismo) da cui derivano meno entrate, nonché nell’aumento dei costi derivanti dal rinnovo del contratto nazionale dei sacristi per il prossimo triennio (2026-29). La procedura è stata formalizzata nella tarda serata del 24 settembre. Ma secondo i sindacati le ragioni potrebbero essere altre: la paura è che alcuni servizi oggi svolti dai dipendenti della Fondazione possano essere esternalizzati. Secondo Filcams e Fisascat la contrazione dei costi potrebbe corrispondere alla diminuzione delle tutele e soprattutto alla perdita di posti di lavoro. Con possibili ripercussioni su tutto il territorio: San Giovanni Rotondo vive molto dell’indotto religioso generato dal pellegrinaggio dei fedeli nei luoghi del santo. Per dare un’idea, nonostante la contrazione dei numeri di cui sopra, i pellegrini dei primi 6 mesi di quest’anno sono stati 157.595. I sindacati chiedono dunque l’apertura di un tavolo per trovare soluzioni alternative con Fondazione “San Pio da Pietrelcina”, Regione Puglia, Ispettorato del lavoro e Arpal.
