General Information

Rome is the capital city and most populated comune (municipality) of Italy. It is also the administrative centre of the Lazio region and of the Metropolitan City of Rome. A special comune named Roma Capitale with a population of 2.7 million in an area of 1,287.36 km2 (497.1 mi2), Rome is the third most populous city in the European Union by population within city limits. The Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, with a population of 4.2 million, is the most populous metropolitan city in Italy. Its metropolitan area is the third-most populous within Italy. Rome is located in the central-western portion of the Italian Peninsula, within Lazio (Latium), along the shores of the Tiber Valley. Vatican City is an independent country inside the city boundaries of Rome, the only existing example of a country within a city. Rome is often referred to as the "City of Seven Hills" due to its geography, and also as the "Eternal City". Rome is generally considered to be one of the cradles of Western civilization and Western Christian culture, and the centre of the Catholic Church.

Nuovo allarme del Ministero della Salute sulle uova: scatta il richiamo per rischio chimico per dei lotti Avicola Alberti Tamara, l’avviso dopo i recenti casi di salmonella
A pochi giorni dalla precedente allerta per rischio microbiologico legata alla presenza di salmonella sui gusci di lotti commercializzati con altri marchi, il Ministero della Salute ha diffuso un nuovo avviso di sicurezza alimentare riguardante le uova fresche. Il provvedimento dispone il ritiro immediato dagli scaffali di negozi e supermercati di una serie di lotti di «uova da allevamento a terra speciali pasta gialla» commercializzate sotto il marchio Avicola Alberti Tamara. La produzione e il confezionamento fanno capo all’Azienda agricola Alberti Tamara di Mariani Wilson, che opera nel proprio stabilimento situato a Ventasso, in provincia di Reggio Emilia, all’interno del Parco Nazionale dell’Appennino Tosco-Emiliano (di cui la confezione riporta anche il logo ufficiale). Carburanti, da oggi in vigore il tetto Eni. Ma l’effetto sui prezzi medi è minimo: la benzina cala meno di un centesimo/litro
È in vigore da stamattina alle 8 il tetto ai prezzi dei carburanti annunciato venerdì da Eni, che farà pagare alla pompa un massimo di 1,99 euro al litro per la benzina e 2,19 per il diesel. Un’iniziativa che però finora ha avuto un effetto piuttosto ridotto sul costo medio nazionale: secondo i dati resi noti dal ministero delle Imprese, “oggi il prezzo medio dei carburanti in modalità self service lungo la rete stradale nazionale è pari a 2,152 euro al litro per la benzina”, contro i 2,159 di ieri, “e 2,369 euro al litro per il gasolio”, contro i 2,377 di ieri. “Sulla rete autostradale, invece, il prezzo medio self è di 2,214 euro al litro per la benzina”, contro i 2,254 di ieri, “e 2,420 euro al litro per il gasolio”, contro i 2,459 euro di ieri. A sottolineare il mancato “effetto traino” l’Unione nazionale consumatori: “Nonostante la vasta rete di distribuzione di Eni, l’effetto sulle medie nazionali è stato decisamente ridotto. In autostrada da ieri a oggi il prezzo medio è sceso di 3,9 centesimi per il gasolio, pari a 1,95 euro per un pieno di cinquanta litri, -1,59%, mentre la benzina è diminuita di quattro centesimi, -2 euro a rifornimento, -1,77%. Nelle regioni il calo è stato ancora minore: la flessione è di meno di un centesimo per entrambi i carburanti”, afferma il presidente Massimiliano Dona. “Dovremo aspettare qualche giorno per verificare se il presumibile calo delle vendite delle altre insegne muoverà il mercato e invoglierà anche le altre compagnie a ridurre i prezzi”. Staffetta Quotidiana, giornale online specializzato nell’energia, segnala inoltre “grande confusione” sui prezzi per l’incastro tra il tetto imposto da Eni, e il rialzo dell’accisa sul gasolio in vigore da sabato: se da un lato benzina e gasolio risultano in calo rispetto a ieri, infatti, il gasolio è in forte aumento rispetto a venerdì. Sabato l’aliquota di accisa sul gasolio è salita di 6,1 centesimi, con un rialzo del prezzo medio rispetto a venerdì di 3,1 centesimi. Ad aumentare la confusione anche l’annuncio, arrivato domenica da parte di Ip, di voler imporre a propria volta un limite ai prezzi a partire da oggi, finora però non ancora tradotto in numeri. In Sicilia, intanto, il comitato autotrasportatori annuncia uno sciopero di cinque giorni: “Non avendo avuto nessun riscontro da parte del governo nazionale alla nostra richiesta di intervento sul caro carburante e nessuna notizia relativa ai pagamenti del Sea Modal Shift, il Comitato autotrasportatori siciliani ha proclamato il fermo dei trasporti e non movimenterà i propri semirimorchi nei porti della Sicilia a partire delle 00.01 del 16 ottobre per cinque giorni fino alla mezzanotte del 20 ottobre. Rimarremo fermi con i nostri camion nei nostri piazzali fino a quando il governo non ci darà delle risposte”, comunica il coordinatore Salvatore Bella.
