General Information

Rome is the capital city and most populated comune (municipality) of Italy. It is also the administrative centre of the Lazio region and of the Metropolitan City of Rome. A special comune named Roma Capitale with a population of 2.7 million in an area of 1,287.36 km2 (497.1 mi2), Rome is the third most populous city in the European Union by population within city limits. The Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, with a population of 4.2 million, is the most populous metropolitan city in Italy. Its metropolitan area is the third-most populous within Italy. Rome is located in the central-western portion of the Italian Peninsula, within Lazio (Latium), along the shores of the Tiber Valley. Vatican City is an independent country inside the city boundaries of Rome, the only existing example of a country within a city. Rome is often referred to as the "City of Seven Hills" due to its geography, and also as the "Eternal City". Rome is generally considered to be one of the cradles of Western civilization and Western Christian culture, and the centre of the Catholic Church.

Il popolo di Ultimo si è radunato a Tor Vergata e tutti e sei pit raccolgono 250mila spettatori. “La favola per sempre” è un evento nell’evento sia per incassi che per numero di presenze. Il palcoscenico è una struttura da 140 metri per un totale di 60 di altezza, con 34 torri alte 33 metri. 2500 metri quadri di schermo led ad alta risoluzione, oltre 1500 i punti luce,18 maxischermi posizionati lungo tutta l’area dello show, e 38 torri delay con audio e luci. A 60 metri da terra e sostenuta da due gru un’enorme struttura metallica luminosa di 21 metri per 10 di altezza, raffigurante la firma di Ultimo, che sovrasta un gigantesco simbolo dell’infinito (firma visiva ormai ricorrente intorno a cui ruota tutto il concept del progetto), con a bordo corpi illuminanti, animata grazie ai motori a velocità variabile, tra i 46 in totale, a cui sono affidate tutte le movimentazioni dello spettacolo. Al centro della scena una passerella anch’essa a forma di infinito lunga 30 metri. Poche ore prima del concerto Ultimo ha voluto dedicare un pensiero con una lettera aperta il suo stato d’animo della vigilia: la favola di un cantautore che piano piano è riuscito a coronare il sogno di esibirsi davanti ad una immensa platea. Come scritto nella lettera, artista e pubblico sono diventati parte della stessa storia. La visione diventa realtà. Un percorso condiviso, che è ormai una “favola per sempre”. “Protestavamo contro lo sfruttamento, siamo stati trattati da criminali”: la denuncia di lavoratori e sindacato sgomberati dalla polizia all’Acca di Prato
Resta alta la tensione all’indomani dello sgombero del presidio di lavoratori e sindacati di fronte ai magazzini Acca di Seano, in provincia di Prato, eseguito in esecuzione di un decreto di sequestro preventivo disposto dalla procura. Il sindacato Sudd Cobas, che aveva organizzato la protesta, ha convocato per domani, domenica 5 luglio, una manifestazione in piazza a Prato, con ritrovo alle 17, con lo slogan “Chi non vuole i picchetti vuole la schiavitù”.L’organizzazione ha lanciato un appello per difendere il diritto di sciopero, definendo lo sgombero “una decisione politica“. L’operazione davanti allo stabilimento è avvenuta due giorni dopo la prima riunione del tavolo di confronto convocato dal presidente della Provincia, Simone Calamai, per agevolare un dialogo tra azienda e sindacati per garantire il rispetto dei diritti dei lavoratori e favorirne la ricollocazione. Lo scorso 20 giugno la società di logistica cinese aveva infatti annunciato la chiusura entro la fine dello stesso mese e il licenziamento di quasi 100 lavoratori, incontrando l’opposizione del sindacato che denunciava come la crisi aziendale fosse un alibi per coprire la volontà di spostare il lavoro “in altri magazzini dove gli operai sono ancora sfruttati e senza diritti“. Da allora, un crescendo di tensioni: il 23 giugno un operaio che stava partecipando alla protesta impedendo di caricare la merce destinata ai pronto moda, era stato investito. E la sera stessa circa 250 imprenditori avevano tentato di forzare il picchetto. Negli scontri erano rimasti feriti 5 poliziotti, con tre imprenditori arrestati per resistenza e lesioni a pubblico ufficiale. La convocazione del tavolo di confronto era stata una risposta a questi episodi, che sembrava aver aperto la strada al dialogo tra le parti. “Sono tornate le scene che questa città sperava di non rivedere più” ha commentato Luca Toscano, coordinatore di Sudd Cobas. “Operai e sindacalisti trascinati sull’asfalto e caricati a forza in un pullman per essere portati in questura. Trattati come criminali mentre lottiamo contro la mafia, lo sfruttamento e l’illegalità. È bastata la lagna di qualche pronto moda per la merce ferma in magazzino per scatenare un’operazione di polizia impressionante e fare carta straccia del diritto di sciopero e dell’articolo 40 della Costituzione”. Il sindacalista evidenzia come non ci sia stata tanta solerzia “quando gli operai della Acca venivano sprangati sotto le loro case per aver chiesto un contratto di lavoro. La Stato oggi manda un messaggio orribile: una scatola di vestiti vale più della vita di 100 operai“. Il sindacato ha ribadito le proprie accuse nei confronti di Acca, società della logistica attualmente sottoposta ad amministrazione giudiziaria nell’ambito di un’inchiesta della procura europea e della Guardia di finanza per presunte frodi fiscali e doganali da 71 milioni di euro. “Non lo diciamo noi, lo dice la magistratura”, ha sostenuto Toscano, riferendosi anche ai procedimenti per presunto caporalato che coinvolgono l’azienda. Sul caso è intervenuto anche il presidente della Regione Toscana Eugenio Giani, definendo lo sgombero “una forzatura inaccettabile che inasprirà i rapporti senza portare alcuna soluzione. Servirebbe unità per dare maggiore forza alla richiesta di garanzia del lavoro e di dignità e al contrasto dello sfruttamento”. Per la vicepresidente Mia Diop e l’assessore al lavoro e alla formazione Alberto Lenzi, “la durezza usata contro lavoratori e rappresentanti sindacali che rivendicavano il diritto a condizioni di lavoro dignitose costituisce un grave errore”. Il sindaco di Carmignano Edoardo Prestanti ha dichiarato la vicinanza del Comune ai lavoratori, promettendo di tentare “tutti i percorsi per un positivo esito della vertenza Acca, compreso quel tavolo istituzionale che per noi non è chiuso”. Solidarietà ai lavoratori anche dalla Cgil Toscana e Prato-Pistoia: “L’obiettivo deve essere favorire una soluzione della crisi industriale e occupazionale, non trasformare una vertenza sindacale in un problema di ordine pubblico“.
