General Information

Rome is the capital city and most populated comune (municipality) of Italy. It is also the administrative centre of the Lazio region and of the Metropolitan City of Rome. A special comune named Roma Capitale with a population of 2.7 million in an area of 1,287.36 km2 (497.1 mi2), Rome is the third most populous city in the European Union by population within city limits. The Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, with a population of 4.2 million, is the most populous metropolitan city in Italy. Its metropolitan area is the third-most populous within Italy. Rome is located in the central-western portion of the Italian Peninsula, within Lazio (Latium), along the shores of the Tiber Valley. Vatican City is an independent country inside the city boundaries of Rome, the only existing example of a country within a city. Rome is often referred to as the "City of Seven Hills" due to its geography, and also as the "Eternal City". Rome is generally considered to be one of the cradles of Western civilization and Western Christian culture, and the centre of the Catholic Church.

L’insulto omofobo di Vannacci a Cerno: “Ha gusti invertiti, no alla propaganda omosessualista in tv”. La replica: “Mi insulta perché non ha argomenti”
Tommaso Cerno torna in Rai, con 2 di Picche, ed ecco che scoppia la polemica con Roberto Vannacci. Il direttore de il Giornale, ieri, ha presentato la nuova stagione del programma di approfondimento sul secondo canale, in onda dal lunedì al venerdì alle 14, e ha citato il generale e il programma del suo partito, che propone un limite ai contenuti Lgbtq+ in televisione: “Vannacci ha detto che, essendo omosessuale, dovrei andare in fascia protetta. Caro generale, la protezione viene dalla libertà”. Poi l’affondo: “Se dovessero togliere i gay dalla tv non ci sarebbe più nessuno, dovrebbero mandare in onda pubblicità dalle 8 alle 24”. Oggi l’attacco dell’europarlamentare, raccolto dall’AdnKronos, secondo cui Cerno “si è inventato che Futuro nazionale voglia proibire a chi ha gusti omosessuali di comparire in tv. Non so se chi ha gusti invertiti abbia il patentino per sparare corbellerie più grosse rispetto a chi ha i gusti che si inquadrano nella normalità, ma le regole in televisione saranno uguali per tutti: in fascia protetta, quando ci sono i bambini davanti allo schermo, la propaganda gender e omosessualista non deve poterla fare né chi ha gusti omosessuali né chi ha gusti eterosessuali”. E ancora: “Cerno, che dichiara di avere una preferenza erotica per i maschietti, di spazio ne ha dappertutto: ha fatto il senatore del Partito democratico, è stato dirigente di Arcigay, oggi è direttore de il Giornale e fa il guru del centrodestra, ha addirittura una trasmissione in Rai”. La conclusione del generale è che Cerno non dovrebbe lamentarsi, dal momento che “a me, per esempio, son sempre piaciute le donne e ciò non mi ha garantito né una citazione eterna nella Commedia di Dante né il patentino di ‘sparare minchiate’, come dice lui, tantomeno sulla pelle dei bambini”. A stretto giro, la replica del giornalista: “Penso che una persona che non sa argomentare senza insultare il prossimo abbia un serio deficit di contenuti. Vannacci mi insulta perché non regge un confronto nel merito. È una dinamica che capisco e conosco bene, la sinistra la usa da sempre. E capisco adesso perché in Parlamento Vannacci vota con la sinistra. Faccia come crede, gli italiani giudicheranno”. Solidarietà a Cerno è arrivata dalla seconda carica dello Stato, Ignazio La Russa: “Esprimo la mia solidarietà al direttore Cerno per le gravi parole che gli sono state rivolte. Il dissenso e il confronto politico non possono mai giustificare attacchi personali né riferimenti denigratori alla sfera privata che nessuno può sindacare e verso la quale è giusto nutrire il massimo rispetto”. Terremoto di Accumoli, processo d’Appello bis per l’ex sindaco Petrucci imputato il crollo della campanile
Ci sarà un nuovo processo d’Appello nei confronti dell’ex sindaco di Accumoli, Stefano Petrucci, condannato in secondo grado a 8 mesi per il crollo del campanile che, durante il terremoto del 24 agosto 2016, provocò la morte dell’intera famiglia Tuccio: padre, madre e due bambini, uno di 8 anni e l’altro di nove mesi. I supremi giudici hanno annullato con rinvio la sentenza emessa dalla Corte d’Appello di Roma lo scorso novembre, disponendo così un nuovo giudizio. La Procura generale, all’udienza di martedì mattina davanti alla IV sezione penale della Cassazione, aveva chiesto invece di confermare la condanna nei confronti dell’ex sindaco per disastro e crollo colposo. Per l’accusa di omicidio colposo era stata già dichiarata la prescrizione. A rappresentare Petrucci sono gli avvocati Francesco Petrelli e Mario Cicchetti, che hanno espresso “massima soddisfazione” per la decisione della Cassazione. Secondo i legali, la sentenza “restituisce linearità e rigore all’applicazione delle regole del codice”. “Di fronte a una sentenza di appello – aggiungono Petrelli e Cicchetti – che aveva scardinato un’assoluzione di primo grado solida e ampiamente motivata, la Cassazione ha ristabilito l’ortodossia del diritto processuale penale. Non vi era spazio per una condanna che ignorasse il canone dell’oltre ogni ragionevole dubbio”. I difensori dell’ex sindaco guardano ora al giudizio di rinvio “con assoluta serenità”, sostenendo che vi sarebbe “un dato tecnico inequivocabile che esclude qualsivoglia profilo di responsabilità penale in capo al Sindaco Stefano Petrucci”. La Procura generale in Cassazione aveva invece chiesto la condanna definitiva a 8 mesi. Nella requisitoria scritta, il pg Roberto Patscot aveva sostenuto che la Corte d’Appello avesse motivato la propria decisione in maniera “coerente e palesemente priva di manifeste aporie logiche”. Secondo il rappresentante dell’accusa, Petrucci, nella sua veste di sindaco, aveva inizialmente adottato correttamente un’ordinanza di sgombero il 15 aprile 2009, dopo essere stato informato delle gravi fonti di pericolo segnalate nei verbali di sopralluogo degli ufficiali del Genio civile. L’ordinanza era stata adottata, secondo la requisitoria, nella doppia veste di Ufficiale di Governo e di autorità locale preposta alla protezione civile. Successivamente, però, sempre secondo l’accusa, Petrucci avrebbe revocato l’ordinanza di sgombero “in assenza di qualsivoglia dei presupposti normativi e fattuali per addivenirsi a tanto”, con una condotta definita “improvvida e gravemente colposa”. Nel processo d’Appello l’ex sindaco era stato condannato a 8 mesi per disastro e crollo colposo, mentre per l’accusa di omicidio colposo era intervenuta la prescrizione. Era stata invece confermata l’assoluzione di Matteo Buzzi, direttore dei lavori del campanile.
